Pinus maritima - Maritime Pine

Pinus maritima is an evergreen conifer with an open, fan shaped crown. It is a large tree, growing to a maximum height of approximately 40 metres. Glossy green needles are long and stiff. Purplish brown cones arrive in autumn time and slowly turn brown as they ripen. Given the space, this tree will do well in almost all locations. It is tolerant to costal exposures, air pollution and almost all soils.
