Gleditsia triacanthos Inermis - Honey Locust
Gleditsia triacanthos inermis is a fast growing, deciduous tree growing to approximately 20 metres. It has a light, open crown with pinnate, feathered, glossy green leaves that turn golden yellow in autumn. Light green inconspicuous flowers bloom in June followed by curved pods. This is a thornless variety of Gleditisia.
This honey locust can withstand harsh winds, air pollution, flooding and drought, making it a fantastic tree for any location; given the space. Best grown in full sun, in almost all soils.
