Wisteria sinensis - Chinese Wisteria
Wisteria sinensis is a vigorous, purple flowering climber native to China. Its pea-like scented flowers open in early Summer on bare stems. Although traditionally grown against a wall, it can be trained to be a half-standard tree. Best grown in moist but well-drained soil, in full sun or partial shade.
