Acer platanoides Globosum - Globe Norway Maple
Acer platanoides Globosum is a grafted, ball headed selection of Norway maple originally introduced in 1870s. It has deep green leaves turning golden yellow in autumn. Small clusters of yellowish green flowers bloom in spring, followed by winged fruit. This is a particularly good selection for smaller spaces or where architectural structure is required. Grows on almost all soils, tolerating drought and exposure.
