Prunus subhirtella Pendula - Weeping higan Cherry

Prunus subhirtella Pendula is a small deciduous tree with a broad crown made of arching, pendulous branches. Ovate leaves first emerge green before turning fiery shades of orange and red in autumn; they are slightly larger than the species. Small singular flowers bloom in spring with pale to deep rose-pink buds. Great for smaller gardens, its maximum height is around 4 metres. Best grown in full sun on almost all free draining soils.
