Prunus serrulata Amanogawa - Cherry Amanogawa

Prunus serrulata Amanogawa is a small, tightly columnar tree growing to a maximum height of approximately 8 metres. Blooming in late spring, the crown is narrow with slightly fragrant, semi double pale pink flowers. Leaves first emerge bronze before turning green, then finally changing to a fiery orange and red in autumn.

It is a great choice for urban areas as it has a compact foliage and is tolerant to pollution. Best grown in full sun in almost all free draining soils.
