Parrotia persica Bella - Persian Ironwood
Parrotia persica Bella is a small, deciduous tree growing to a maximum height of approximately 8-10 metres. It has a open, oval crown and long, glossy dark green leaves which turn to beautiful shades of orange and red in autumn. Fruits are concealed in small spiky capsules and fall from the tree in autumn.
Best grown in free draining, fertile soil. Tolerant to drought and short term flooding.
