Cornus florida Rubra - Pink flowering dogwood
Cornus florida Rubra is a slow growing cultivar of the flowering dogwood selected for its stunning colour. Rather than the traditional white, it has reddish-pink bracts that surround the green flower. It has dark green, ovate leaves which change to red and purple in autumn. Cornus florida Rubra also bears red fruits in late summer. Best grown in full sun or partial shade, in moist but well drained, fertile soil.
