Acer rubrum Red Sunset - Red Maple Red Sunset

Acer rubrum Red Sunset is a large deciduous tree with a rounded, symmetrical crown and deep green leaves. Clusters of tiny red flowers flood the bare branches in spring, followed by young leaves which emerge red, turning green. In autumn, the leaves turn fiery red. Best grown on a moist, sightly acid soil, avoid dry or chalky sights as this will both stunt growth and prevent the development of autumn colour.
