Acer rubrum October Glory - Red Maple October Glory

Acer rubrum October Glory is a large deciduous tree with upright branches and deep green leaves.

As its name suggests, this selection of Acer rubrum is at its best during the month of October, when the leaves turn brilliant red. While the colour change occurs later than some other Acer rubrum types, October glory is particularly renowned for the protracted length of its autumnal showcase. Best grown on a moist, sightly acid soil, avoid dry or chalky sights as this will both stunt growth and prevent the development of autumn colour.
