Prunus laurocerasus Caucasica - Caucasica Cherry Laurel
Prunus laurocerasus Caucasica is an evergreen shrub growing to a maximum height of approximately 3 metres. It has a more dense, vigorous foliage than its species with oval, glossy green leaves. In early springtime, upright, fragrant flowers bloom, later followed by red to black berries in autumn. It is fast growing and responds well to pruning, making it ideal for clipped hedging or training as a pleached tree. It is also tolerant to dry and damp soils, although grows best in fertile, well-drained soil.
