Pittosporum tobira - Japanese Mock Orange

Commonly known as the Japanese Mock Orange, Pittosporum tobira is a compact, rounded evergreen shrub, native to China and Japan. It has deep green, leathery and glossy ovate leaves. Small, sweetly scented flowers are open white in late spring and early summer and are followed by spherical woody fruits. Does best in well drained, sunny and sheltered sites. May need some protection from frost in colder, more exposed locations.
