Corylus maxima Purpurea - Purple leaved Filbert

Corylus maxima Purpurea is a small deciduous shrub with beautiful, large, purple red leaves. Pendulous pale-yellow catkins in spring are followed by deep purple leaves and nuts in autumn. A perfect plant to bring colour to a shady area. Grows well in almost all soils, tolerating shade well.
