Cornus controversa Variegata - Variegated Wedding Cake Tree

Cornus controversa Variegata is a smaller variety of the wedding cake tree only growing to 8-10 metres. The leaves are bright green with a thick cream margin. The scented flowers are followed by green berries which ripen to blue-black in Autumn and provide a valuable food source for birds. Once the branches are bare, Cornus controversa Variegata still makes an attractive tree due to its ornamental, tiered form.

Grows well on almost all soils in full sun or partial shade.
