Catalpa bignonioides Aurea - Golden Indian Bean Tree

Catalpha bignonioides Aurea is a slow growing, yellow leaved cultivar of the Indian Bean Tree. This late shooting tree has large yellow, heart shaped leaves which fade to lime green during the summer, before turning intense yellow in autumn. White bell-shaped flowers bloom in June and July, followed by long, bean shaped fruits. Does best in a sunny location, tolerates most soils, as well as hot, dry conditions. A perfect shade tree.
