Abies koreana - Korean Fir

Abies koreana (Korean fir) is a species of fir native to the mountainous regions of South Korea. First introduced to the UK in 1905, this medium-sized conifer grows relatively slowly, with a narrow pyramidal form. The needles are dark green on top and white beneath giving foliage interest. Eye-catching blue cones are produced in autumn. Abies Koreana grows well in most soil conditions and tolerates wind. Although better in the heat than other firs, it still prefers a colder climate.
