Magnolia soulangiana - Saucer Magnolia

Commonly known as the Saucer magnolia, Magnolia soulangeana is one of the most widely planted magnolias. It is of course best known for its large, white tulip-like flowers which bloom in spring. With a mature height of approximately 6-8 metres, it grows with a broad, rounded crown and makes a fabulous stand-alone plant. Fresh green leaves turn golden yellow in autumn. Best grown in full sun on fertile, well drained, acid soils.
