Chimonanthus retusus - Chinese Fringetree

Known as the Chinese fringe tree, Chionanthus retusus is native to Eastern Asia. This small, deciduous tree is at its best in early summer when covered in delicate clouds of pure white, fragrant flowers, with fringe like petals. The leaf is dark green and leathery turning golden yellow in autumn. Does best in full sun or light shade on moist, well-drained soil.
