Pyrus calleryana Redspire - Callery Pear Redspire

Pyrus calleryana Redspire is an American cultivar with a narrow, conical crown. Narrower than the ‘chanticleer’, it will grow to an approximate height of around 12 metres with a compact form. Glossy green leaves turn fiery red in autumn. During spring, it blooms profusely with small white flowers in groups of 6 to 12. Rarely fruit will follow.

Due to its narrow form, it is perfect for avenues or smaller gardens. Extremely valuable to bees and wildlife. Will grow on almost all soils and resistant to pollution, wind and frost.
