Malus domestica Roter Boskoop is a variety of apple, first cultivated in the Netherlands in the 1850s. Fruits are yellow and dark red where exposed to sun. It has a refreshing, intense taste, great for baking and preserving. If left through the winter, the apple will become softer and has a sweeter taste. Does best in full sun on well-drained soil.
