Halesia monticola - Montain Silverbell

Halesia monticola is a wide-spreading, vase shaped tree growing to a maximum height of approximately 20 metres. Oval, fresh green leaves turn golden yellow in autumn. Bundles of bell-shaped white flowers bloom in early spring and are followed by winged fruits. Best grown in Moist, well drained soil with lots of nutrients; it also grows well on acidic soils.
